Caisse is a modular storage solution that references the wooden boxes often used to transport high-end bottles. A challenge for wine bottle storage is often mixing density and display. With a small design intervention, adding a perpendicular groove to the top of the box, bottles can now be stored with a mix of orientations. The system is built using solid wood boxes, concealed hardware, and tubular extruded aluminum uprights.
